Water Tower

The Windows of Woodford (WOW) project was instigated and coordinated by the Woodford Lions and became a two year collaboration with the Woodford Folk Festival (who donated the time of the artist Gavin Ryan), the Moreton Bay Regional Council, Unity Water and the Woodford community.

The concept was that the windows looked into a history of the Woodford town as each window illustrated a different story. The project included the cleaning and painting of the water tower which until that point had been an eye sore, the installation of the light boxes representing windows, the textured rock work at the bottom of the tower,

an interpretative walk explaining the images in the windows and a calendar. More information about the project is provided at the information sign in front of the tower and at the Information Centre for any visitors intending to visit Woodford.
